Depression Therapy in Denver

Individual Therapy | In-Person in Asheville and Online in NC, DC, VA, & CO

Telehealth (Colorado)

Private-pay & out-of-network friendly

Secure telehealth for clients across Denver. Work through sadness, low motivation, and withdrawal — without forcing positivity.

Depression therapy via telehealth for Colorado adults makes space for low mood, numbness, or loss of interest even when the landscape and culture suggest you “should” feel energized. From Denver and Boulder to farther along the Front Range, we work collaboratively toward routines, connection, and values — without forcing cheerfulness — in sessions you can attend from home.

Are you chasing a mood, or building a better life? Therapy for Depression may involve looking at whether your daily habits, behavioral responses, and beliefs align with the person you want to be. Don’t know who you want to be? That’s okay, let’s figure it out. In therapy, we'll work together to understand your unique experience of depression rather than assuming it looks the same for everyone. We'll explore how you want to use the therapeutic space to help — sometimes people are looking for a space to work through concerns; other times, people have a specific goal. We may explore current stressors, past experiences, thought patterns, and daily habits and behaviors that may be maintaining or deepening depressive symptoms. We'll identify what feels most difficult right now, and what you hope is different about your life. We'll then come up with goals that sound realistic to you. Depression is complex, which means there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. Therapy can be a powerful tool, but it's often just one part of a larger toolkit. Depending on your unique needs, that toolkit might also include medication, spending time in nature, regular movement, improving sleep, nourishing your body consistently, addressing underlying medical conditions, strengthening social connections, or other evidence-based treatments such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Together, we'll explore what factors may be contributing to your symptoms and identify practical, sustainable strategies that support your overall well-being. The goal of therapy for depression is not to “force positivity" or be "fixed," but to reduce the intensity and impact of depressive symptoms, rebuild a sense of connection and engagement in life, and support you in moving toward a life that feels more meaningful, manageable, and aligned with your values.

Treatment approach is the same across locations; what differs is how we meet (in-person in Asheville or telehealth where licensed) and the local context you bring into the room.

Please note: Telehealth clients must be physically located in Colorado at the time of session.
