Anxiety Therapy in Denver

Individual Therapy | In-Person in Asheville and Online in NC, DC, VA, & CO

Telehealth (Colorado)

Private-pay & out-of-network friendly

Secure telehealth for clients across Denver. A note from your brain at 2 a.m.: Anxiety is remarkably creative — it can draft an entire disaster screenplay from one unanswered text. In therapy, we don't dismiss those feelings; we get curious about whether the plot matches what usually happens when you actually try things.

Anxiety therapy for adults in Denver and across Colorado meets a Front Range life that looks active from the outside — trails, careers, social calendars — while worry and overthinking still run the show. Secure telehealth means we can work with perfectionism, panic, or constant mental noise from Boulder, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, or the mountains without another drive across the metro.

Anxiety can look different for different people. For some, it may feel like excessive or uncontrollable worry. For others, it may show up as muscle tension, difficulty relaxing, overthinking, self-doubt, or getting caught in catastrophic thoughts that make it difficult to stay present. In therapy, we'll work together to understand how anxiety shows up in your life, identify the situations that trigger it, and explore what keeps it going. Rather than assuming what anxiety means for you, we'll start by defining the problem together. We'll explore your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors to better understand your experience. From there, we'll identify what you'd rather do more and less of, and develop practical strategies to help you move toward this new response. Therapy may include learning how anxiety affects the brain and body, reframing unhelpful thought patterns (without relying on forced positivity), gradually facing anxiety-provoking situations, building distress tolerance skills, and practicing new coping strategies. Sessions provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to process challenges, practice skills, and create a plan for applying those skills in everyday life. The goal of anxiety therapy is not to eliminate anxiety altogether, but to help you respond to it more effectively so that it has less control over your decisions, relationships, and quality of life.

Treatment approach is the same across locations; what differs is how we meet (in-person in Asheville or telehealth where licensed) and the local context you bring into the room.

Please note: Telehealth clients must be physically located in Colorado at the time of session.
