Do you feel anxious? Depressed? Caught in a binge/restrict cycle? Do you want to create positive, sustainable change in your life? Then you have come to the right place.
Hi, I'm Rose. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mental health therapist. I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, disordered eating behaviors and mild eating disorder concerns, and mild to moderate alcohol use disorder. I take a trauma-informed approach to treatment. I am a former personal trainer and active bodybuilder, and support the use of movement, nature, science, meditation, and time management as "external" coping strategies.
My therapeutic style is collaborative yet challenging. I aim to be non-judgmental, participatory, and effective in helping you achieve the shared goals we lay out together. It is important to me to provide evidence-based information. I will assist you into tapping into your own "inner wisdom," even if you don't consider yourself an expert on what you need (yet). I emphasize problem solving, exposure, and acceptance as "internal" coping strategies.
It can be hard to admit that we need therapeutic support at times. Trying to determine if a therapist is a good fit can be daunting and overwhelming. Fortunately, therapy just has to be "good enough" for what you're looking for, at that point in your life. If you're looking for a supportive yet challenging therapist, then you've come to the right place!
Based on experience, training, and education, I treat and work with the following mental health concerns:
Alcohol use disorder (mild to moderate level)
Anxiety Disorders (Generalized Anxiety, Social anxiety, phobias)
Binge Eating Disorder/emotional eating/body image concerns
